Description: Compilation a of known reef and shoal locations from various data sources to aid in understanding fish spawning locations and habitat. Known reef point locations were compiled from various data sources including the U.S. Geographic Naming Information System (GNIS), Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry Lake Huron known reef locations (also in Environment Canada's Environmental Sensitivity Index), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service reports to the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, U.S. Geological Survey norrthern Lake Michigan LiDAR collection, and published manuscripts from Edsall and Jude. This dataset was altered to limit its extent to the St. Clair Detroit River System (SCDRS) Initiative Project Area (https://scdrs.org/), which includes the waters of SCDRS as defined by the SCDRS Initiative Project and their contributing watersheds. The SCDRS Initiative defines the waters of SCDRS the area approximately from the southern base of Lake Huron to the western basin of Lake Erie.
